The other day, I took the time to review all the posts I have made on WordPress — from the most recent to the very first. Of all the things I could have shared — for some reason, my first post was about THE ARTICHOKE (my first experience eating an artichoke). I don’t know why this particular experience came to my mind as the starting point for my blog but I’m sure there is probably a subconscious reason for it. How about you? What was the subject for your first post?
I don’t know what it is… I just have this attraction for photographing artichokes. 🙂

I ❤ Artichokes! Their flowers are some of my favorites, with that electric purple color. I can see why you chose them for one of your first posts. If I'd have thought of it at the time, they may have been my first one, but sadly they were not…
I had no idea an artichoke made a flower like that. What an interesting subject.
Thank you for your visit, Brandon. I’m glad you were able to learn something new from my blog. The artichoke is a very interesting and tasty flower bud. The bud eventually turns into a flower if you don’t harvest it.
You know, I don’t think I’ve ever photographed an artichoke 🙂 Mine was a picture of St Paul’s and the Millennium bridge. I’m not sure why, it’s not even a particular favourite of mine.
After seeing your beautifully, amazing travel photos, I can understand why your first post would be about travel destinations. I think subconsciously, the subject mean a lot more to us than what it is. At least that’s what I think… 😉

Oh Mike… LOL… you are too funny. I remember my boy’s favorite book when they were little was called: Everyone Poops.

What an impressive shots.
My first post was an architecture photo.I would post about various buildings but I changed the theme to my diary.It’s the best way to keep it up.

Thank you. Actually, I was attracted to your blog name and lemon image. That’s another subject that is a lot like the artichoke. You can create so many wonderful things with it. 🙂
Simply, the photos I picked were my favorites of the moment. I had just gone to an evening Italian Festival at the Church my nephews attend. I particularly liked the way my camera responded to the challenge. Perhaps some photographic skill was involved as well. Later on I have been picking posts as ideas strike or inspiration calls from my collection of images. Artichokes? I’m sure I have a photo of an artichoke somewhere. My database should allow me to find it. We saw them growing in California. Of course I didn’t think it was photogenic as I have only seen the ripened product and not the flower.
I remember seeing a lot of artichoke fields when I was in California long ago. That was the first time I’ve ever seen a real artichoke plant and was amazed by it. Maybe that’s where I got my attraction for them from. 🙂
