Darn it! Woke up this morning to snow, rain and gusty wind. It’s days like this that I envy my sister. She lives in Hawaii. Hum… maybe it’s time to pay her a visit. 😉
I was going to bake cupcakes for today’s post and instead, got distracted by the mixing bowl. I like the reflections and thought this would fit today’s daily shoot assignment: Make a photograph of something shiny or glossy, but not transparent. Emphasize the effect of the surface.
I really love both these shots – just the right touch of abstraction to make fascinating images of everyday things.
great photos! I love the second picture. The contrast in both of these is superb 🙂
Thank you Olena for visiting my blog. I like the photos on your blog — they make me smile. 🙂
Thanks everyone for your nice comments. I had a lot of fun with this and very happy with the results. Although, wish I could say the same for the Cupcakes. I think I will just stick with watching them on Food Network’s Cupcake War. 😀
That’s beautiful, but the sound of metal on metal would drive me crazy! Eek! That said, I’d like a cupcake while sunning myself in Hawaii, that’d do me fine.
😉
I am like Mike/Sasi and Nigel, love the shot of the liners in the bowl! Great job on the assignment Emily!
The reflection of the cupcakes cases is a very cool photo!
Nice reflection of cupcake liners on the mixing bowl. I do like the monochrome PP on these shots.
Great shots. I especially like the second one with the reflections of the cupcake doohickeys.
