Zooming Around Town

Saturday was one of those rare sunny days in Seattle… the kind that makes you feel great… makes you want to get out and do something fun and exciting. It was a beautiful day for a ride in a convertible car. I love ridding in the convertible. There is something very exhilarating about the freedom of not having a roof over my head… the feel of the sun on my face… and the hair whipping in the wind…

As we headed towards Seattle’s famous Pike Place Market for my intended photo shoot, I took a self-portrait from the side-mirror. When I saw the result of the shot, my creative mind started churning… I came up with the idea of shooting from the moving car at different speeds. Luckily, I have a willing partner and driver who were supportive of my interesting idea. I have never done anything like this before… so I didn’t really know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised by the end results…

  1. I like the ‘motion’ feel on this shot.
We have visited Seattle once (back in 2001) and love the city. I am guessing these are those narrow streets in downtown Seattle.

    • Yes, the downtown streets are pretty narrow but we have a Mazda Miata so it wasn’t too hard to navigate. I love Seattle too… especially when the sun is out. Judging from all the rain we been having, I sure hope we are not going to have a rainy summer this year.
